Les Ballets Persans

The performance of Les Ballets Persans, produced in collaboration with National Ballet of Kyrgyzstan is a continuation of an artistic collaboration established in early 2014. Through this production the new generation of Iranian composers are receiving exposure by creating choreographic works based on their music. The program includes four dance sequences, each of which represent a different genre of choreography from the repertoire of Les Ballets Persans:

Les Fleurs (Golha)
Music: Manoocher Soheily
Classical ballet danced on classical Persian music.

Arash the Archer
Music: Amir Pourkhalaji
A heroic ballet based on symphonic music.

Dancing of Dispersed Souls
Music: Amir-Mahyar Tafreshipour and Hossein Alizadeh
A contemporary ballet with the theme “Diaspora”.

Bahar Gelir, and Bahareh
Music: Babak Saidi and Rastak Ensemble
Two pieces of character dance (blend of folkloric and classical ballet) inspired by the folkloric dances of Azerbaijan and Lorestan
