Dara Dar Tan

“Dara Dar Tan” literally means, “join the body". It is a musical project consisted of original compositions by Mehdi Rezania based on an ancient spiritual myth in Iranian plateau. The myth is about the origin of creation and how the soul entered the flesh of man. After God made the body of man from earth, the soul refused to enter it and protested 'Lord, I do not want to be imprisoned in this body'. The creator asked the angles to sing "Dara Dar Tan". The music of the angles enchanted the soul and he danced and entered the body. This program has not been performed before and will be premiered at Tirgan Festival. MEMBERS: Mehdi Rezania, santur & director Bamdad Fotouhi, tombak & daf Soudabeh Badiei, qeychak Amir Samimi, percussion Farshid Meshkinfam, vocal
